Here are our latest go-to places to eat in Deal, taken from those we have tried recently along with a short review of service and quality.
Royal Hotel
We like the Royal, the menu is simple but covers most needs and is ideal for a quick lunch. They offer a great breakfast and the loaded cheesy chips are one of my favourite quick evening snacks.
The Lane
Cafe by day, restaurant by evening, and friendly lively bar at night. The burgers and meals offered are great, the food quality has always been spot on. The stand-out feature of the Lane has to be the afternoon tea menus, with more food than most people can handle. The Cake selection is always impressive and great for those seeking a sugar high, or just in need of cheering up.

Superb quality dining experience, food quality is up there with the top restaurants.
The Zetland Arms
Located on the beach at the Kingsdown end, this is a very popular pub with the locals, offering a good menu, and you can even enjoy a drink on the beach just outside which is a very pleasant experience on a nice warm evening. The food is well presented and a good selection is offered. Booking in advance is essential.
The Hare and Hounds
The Hare and Hounds is located just outside of Deal in Northbourne and is one the locals like to keep secret. Both the staff and locals are all friendly.
